Technology Bond Case Study

Preparing for a multi-million dollar bond/levy for technology. Past history, much of the money went to schools to plan for their own use of technology to support student learning. From one point of view, the district has 30 different technology scenarios which is very difficult to support and is probably costing more than a unified, shared plan. With a new bond, does the district create a common technology plan that is efficent in support, training etc...

People's careers and reputation are on the line with this debate. It is a difficult conversation because we don't really have processes to work through these kinds of challenging conversations.

Interesting that the district and association have just read the book DIFFICULT CONVERSATIONS together. Maybe that is what all of us need to do so we can come up with a shared way to have these conversations.
