This brief, simple case offers undergraduate and introductory graduate students an opportunity to grasp basic concepts in nonprofit management in the specific context of a social service agency's dilemma. The executive director and the board president of a religiously-affiliated nonprofit social service agency struggle with employee and donor demands to endorse the boycott of a local business. Students must grapple not only with what to decide, but who should make the decision, and how.
