Districts need to plan for budgets far before there is community input and superintendents determine how to set up the process. These are some of the strategies:
1. Advisory Committee studies the issues and makes recommendations
2. Executive-type cabinet brainstorms cuts and shares with the community through:
a. Survey
b. Community Forums
3. Some communities are looking at using BLOGs to get community input
4. District decides and the Board adopts
5. Task Force including all Associations work together to prioritize budget adjustments
