Arizona Changing the Graduation Test?
Future for AIMS test looks hazy
Troubled by the fact that 57% of the Class of 2006 still needs to pass the state assessment, a coalition of Arizona conservatives and education groups wants to stop using the exam as a diploma requirement. Many fear that unless the assessment is dismantled, thousands of students might not graduate next year.

Like Arizona, Washington has WASL graduation requirements for the Class of 2008 and I wonder if we will be reading similar news soon. We are heading toward such challenging conversations. I am concerned about graduation rates even before this test. 22% of the students not graduating is way too much, even before this.
