Building district leadership capacity means building principal leaders. Lambert said that we should look for leaders who know themselves and extend that knowledge to their school. They take the school where it is and work collaboratively with the staff for improvement. They build trust and norms and create an understanding of how decisions are made. They support and build new leaders and have positive relationships with other school and district administrators. They are good people.
