Sonics and Never Give Up

Last year was a disaster. The preseason was miserible. The first game, the Sonics were blown out. The Seattle Times reported that the NBA is worried about the profitability of the Sonics...is Key Arena good enough...can they stay in Seattle. Will Nate McMillian be fired?

Then boom, the Sonics win the next six games and everything looks better. No one believes that they are a championship team but they even came back from 20 points down in the fourth quarter to save a win last week. They have a lot of energy and everyone is having fun. I am Tivoing the games and following the Sonics again.

It can turn around so fast when you keep working hard. Sometimes it is difficult to keep doing what you know is right when everything seems so depressing and dismal, but that is what it can be like for schools with accountablity and WASL scores and deep looks at the academic performance of students. We have to be able to face losing situations and work hard to improve.
