Leadership Capacity Chapt. 4
The key idea of this book: Everyone has right, responsibity and capacity to be a leader. They are reflective, focused, inquisitive and action-oriented. (is this true...should everyone be a leader in all situations?)
We create opportunities for leadership by dialogue/conversations, problem solving together, raise issues without knowing the answers, listening, admit to mistakes, and ask probing questions.
Programs are needed for new teachers and new administrators.
We need to be patient with teachers who need to back off, and principals too. Dropping back is not the same as dropping out.
