Instructional Leadership

When I heard about Kevin Chase, Grandview Superintendent, I was taken that
he is an excellent model of instructional leadership and way...way beyond
where I am right now, but I'd love to work in a school and district like
Grandview. (Bellingham, Tahoma, Encumclaw)

1. instruction comes first
2. principal meetings are staff development
3. collect artifacts showing leadership (what do I have now?)

I really need to learn more about the Gates Pillars of Learning, Design for
Learning, Walkthroughs and be as thoughtful of we want teachers to be when
preparing learning for students.

Skyview has time, money resources that have not been maximized. I can help
design learning for staff or be part of helping that design happen at a
district level for principals. That is the goal, to encourage a learning
community.
