1. Percentage time: discipline, hallway/lunchroom/bus supervision,
committee planning, observations, e-mails and management, instructional
leadership...
2. Collect all classroom assessments and organize by grade level, subject,
team.
A. do the assessments match our goals?
B. percentage multiple choice vs. short answer vs. extended answers
C. are our school assessments WASL-like
D. do the assessments relate to the essential learnings?
E. are our assessments creative, thoughtful?
3. Carry through At-risk student check-ups w/ administrators, counselors.
D/F Reports, Discipline...parents we need to meet with?
4. Student Groups to collect amount of student reading to
learn...Day-in-the-life for students.
5. What do lesson plan books look like? Unit Plans? UNDERSTANDING TO
LEARN
6. Need to do a much better job of planning staff inservice and
conversations. The foundation of teaming is in place but without an "end in
mind" it is difficult for teachers to self organize, just like it is
difficult for principals to self-organize.
7. Figure out how to use ALL release resources to get time for teams,
planning, Understanding by Design
8. Visit junior highs at Encumclaw Junior High, Tahoma to see the outcome
of administrative teaming
9. Reevaluate assessment data at an item analysis level
10. Monroe SLP process and automatic printout. Can we do the same.
